SHOWER FIRST
(IF POSSIBLE)
Please wash your feet before entering the Kneipp pool—for hygiene reasons.
DIP IN SLOWLY
Step into the water slowly and carefully - it’s cold and the bottom may be slippery.
DO NOT SWIM - WADE!
The classic Kneipp method involves walking in water, not bathing or sitting in a tub.
WALKING LIKE A STORK INSTEAD OF PADDLING
When doing the Kneipp method, lift your legs deliberately like a stork - please do not jump, run, or splash around.
SHORT TREATMENTS
ARE MORE EFFECTIVE
Less is more: 30 seconds to a maximum of 2 minutes is more than enough.
USE ONLY IF YOU ARE IN GOOD HEALTH
Anyone with cardiovascular problems or who feels unwell should consult a doctor beforehand.
AFTER WATER WALKING
Shake off the water; if necessary, use a dry towel - but don’t rub yourself dry, as air-drying helps stimulate blood circulation.
BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS
Please be quiet, maintain your distance, and give everyone enough space to use the facilities.
PARENTS ARE LIABLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN
Children may use the facility only when accompanied by an adult and should be carefully supervised.
NO ANIMALS IN THE KNEIPP BASIN
To maintain water quality: Please do not let animals into the basin.
Contemporary Kneipp therapy: ALEA PARK is home to Hesse’s most beautiful Kneipp facility. First, wade through the water; then, let your legs dangle – all amidst botanical rarities: rhododendrons, lilacs, ginkgo trees, two Asian flowering dogwoods, a six-meter-tall Japanese maple, and a Japanese slender maple.
Specially designed orthopedic swing benches are placed among the medicinal herb beds. The Kneipp facility is designed to serve as a gathering place for people of all ages and a place dedicated to health.
